April always begins with my mum’s birthday for us (logical, as her birthday is one the first!). I had no real experience of any pranks for April Fool’s day, so I could spend most of the day hanging with my mum and trying not to think about the fact that I am now on a count down to my own birthday…
We popped into one of the nearby, smaller towns to have a rummage in a few charity shops and I picked up a rather snazzy studded denim shirt. I then proceeded to wear it when we popped up to one of the local pubs for a (very tasty) meal that evening.
I’m wearing my stretchy black lace t-shirt dress underneath. I think it’s a perfect piece for layering and I like the funky feel the studded collar gives! It was originally from ASOS Denim.
This was my makeup for the evening. I also wanted to show this awesome spiky headband- I think this hair length is perfect for wearing things like this! My foundation is the MUA Undress Your Skin foundation in Porcelain; I’d fallen out of love with it, but applied with a blending sponge (y’know, the egg-shaped sort) I remembered why I thought it was so good! Seriously, blending sponges have absolutely changed my routine!
The last thing I wanted to show is a bit of a naughty spend I indulged in today…
Yep. I finally caved and bought a Naked palette! Naked2 was definitely the only option for me. I also bought a full-sized Perversion eyeliner pencil as I love my double-ended one so much.
I don’t really need to post these photos; everyone and their dog knows about the Naked palettes! BUT STILL!
Look how beautiful! All of these shadows, as you will soon see, are just as beautiful and buttery soft and pigmented as I have heard that they are.
I’m sorry that this photo is the wrong way up- but these were all light swatches! I’m going to use these shadows tomorrow (I’m going on a road trip!) so when I have used them for a bit longer I’ll let you know what I really think.
