So, I missed a few posts. It’s been an insane week and weekend but what do you know? Life happens, guys! I did some useful things over the past few days, though- such as going through my chest of drawers and wardrobe and sorting through my clothes and makeup collection. I now have a WHOLE DRAWER that is empty, and a huge gap either side of the rail in my wardrobe. Very proud of myself! I might do a room tour sometime soon; well, as soon as I have a new bookcase up and running!
I had a busy day today that called for me to dress a bit more smartly than I have gotten into the habit of dressing for work, as I was observing lessons in the Senior School all day between my shifts in the morning and afternoon. I’ll have another day like that on Friday so I might do a ‘work clothes’ post or something!
I wore this dress that I got a couple of years ago from ASOS, and which to be honest I haven’t really worn that much since I got it. I’m not entirely sure how I feel about the super high neckline or the way it falls in the top part- especially around my bust and back area. But, with this thin New Look cardigan it works pretty well  because it hides the worst parts, so maybe I’ll wear it a bit more this summer. I love the pattern as well- it feels like a way for me to wear my typical, skull loving style in a more professional environment- AND IT HAS COLOUR!? Mental times, my friends. Mental times. I paired it with black leggings (what else?) and some studded flats from Primark. Standard.
Smiley makeup face! I had to use two layers of foundation today because I caught the sun a little bit yesterday, which really annoyed me! I was out at a farm park all day with the Nursery on a trip, and even though I absolutely slathered myself with factor 50+ AND topped up throughout the day, I still burnt a little on my chest and face. Really, really rubbish and irritating.
I have to wait another week and a half to get my eyebrows seen to, fingers crossed I can manage it because they’re starting to lose their lovely neatness. Anyway I realise my eyeshadow looks a bit weird here but it was all blended in properly and looked fine when my eyes were open! I used my typical Maybelline base- SuperStay Better Skin and Matte Maker powder- and then couldn’t really be bothered with much else, even though I really should have been. I used the MUA Mosaic bronzer to just contour a smidgeon and then Benefit Hervana Box O’Powder on my cheeks, slicked through my brows with Maybelline BrowDrama and used my Collection Work The Colour Natural Palette on my eyes, paired with a little Collection No Clumps mascara. I love the little Collection Palette, I have the smokey eye version too and that may be beating my Beauty UK palette for a place in my festival makeup bag come August! Finishing it all off was a swipe of Revlon Matte Balm in Complex and I was done. No eyeliner. Can you believe it!?
