Again with the late posting- I’m so sorry! I don’t even have a good excuse today, I’m late with this post because apart from a meeting this morning, today was my last day of freedom before term starts properly again and I have been addicted to Dragon Age: Origins since the weekend. It is a perfect, PERFECT game, maybe even beating Elder Scrolls as my favourite RPG thing ever, although now I am actually hopelessly in love with a video game character. I need a life (but Alistair Theirin 4 Lyf).
Moving swiftly on- today is an outfit that is centered around a rather gorgeous kimono jacket thing that I got from Matalan a while ago. I’ve already mentioned my sudden love for the kimono, but this one is beautiful because it’s a bit more traditional kimono in feel (to me, anyway) than the very shruggy, very shawly ones I also own. The colours are really interesting, too.
This is a typical sort of workwear look for me, I teamed this with leopard print slip on shoes. I have to dress on the nicer side of smart-casual for work, I’m only a Teaching Assistant but it’s a private school so you feel like you have to make a bit of an effort, ha. But I do like to stand out, and my general ‘uniform’ for workdays is black leggings with a plain dress or longline vest-top and cardigan or jacket like today’s outfit, or a cool printed dress with a blazer or cardigan. The outfit today was Dorothy Perkins leggings, Primark vest-dress and the kimono from Matalan. I’m sorry it’s not a better shot- must try harder.
As for my face?
This was done using most of the stuff in my ‘basic face’ makeup bag, including the current go to base combo that is Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin foundation and Maybelline Matte Maker powder- can’t get enough of either of these products right now. Though I’m not feeling great at the moment and I felt the base made me look a bit ghostlike today- I think I applied too thick a layer? Answers on a postcard!- so I cracked open my Soap and Glory powder palette and swirled a bit of Solar Powder on my cheeks instead of using blush, Eyes were MAC Sable, an Urban Decay 24/7 eye pencil in a browny colour though I can’t for the life of me remember the shade, Collection No Clumps mascara (love!) and Maybelline Brow Drama mascara. I finished it off with a slick of Revlon Colourburst Matte Balm in Complex.
Bit of an awkard shot to show you my face in a bit more detail- I have no idea why that cheek is so pink, by the way!?
The bonus is another photo I took of my make up when we went for dinner as a family on Easter Sunday. I wore one of my current (and possibly all time) favourite lip products, which is another Matte Balm but in the shade Shameless.
Seriously in love with these- expect a review too!
There’s something about Bioware games that make you do that. Their character building and development is just better than any other company. I myself am in love with Garrus :p
You look lovely as always!
