HI GUYS!

It has been so long since I last posted here. You can probably notice some differences, first and foremost- I have renamed the blog, designed some new headers and purchased my own domain!

Fat Fashionista was no longer cutting it for me- the blog was turning into so much more than just a plus sized blog, and I actually felt that I didn’t fit into the PSB community. I also wanted to rebrand myself in the Alternative community as I think I fit more and more with them than the more mainstream bloggers- though I do love me a mainstream beauty and fash blogge! So, the first thing was the name switch. Choosing a blog name in the first place is such a tricky decision; I know that sounds like such a stupid thing to say, but it’s true! You want to try and sum yourself up and keep it snappy so that people will remember it. ‘Smaugish’ is something I’ve been using for a while- it sums up the fact that I am a bit of a geek, and also that I like shiny things and horde pretty things just like Smaug in The Hobbit, so I am a little bit Smaugish!

Designing my headers was something I’ve wanted to do for a while. I’m practically illiterate in terms of coding and web design, so I’ve used picmonkey (an amazing website) for these. I think they look pretty good!

I might post a quick life update, explaining my extended absence, but from now on in you can expect me to be posting as regularly as my job allows! I’m going to aim for a few weekly posts, including Music Mondays, What I Wore Wednesdays (though I’m hoping to still do more-or-less Daily Outfit and Make Up posts) and Fitness Fridays.
