March Empties

Well, we’re at the end of March. This year is shooting past! Tomorrow I might not post much because it is my mother’s birthday, and we will look like pajama-clad slobs all day! I really can’t wait- we’re going to have a ‘duvet’ day with face packs, popcorn, cheesey bites, ice cream and chocolate (I am allowed a day off from my diet, right?!) and a few good films (My Big Fat Greek Wedding and the BBC’s Pride and Prejudice will definitely feature) and maybe the Downton boxset? Anyway I can’t wait! And I can’t wait for her to open her presents from me, and I can finally show you what I picked up for her! I might even get her to a guest review of one of them!

I’ve been posting a lot more regularly recently, and I thought I’d start doing empties and favourites at the end of each month!

Empties

Boots 17 Eyeliner pen, LUSH Breath of God, Boots Essentials cucumber moisturising cream, ELF Mineral Primer, Soap & Glory Peaches and Clean Cleansing Milk, ELF Lotion Wipes in Shea Butter, Dirty Works Face Wipes, Soap & Glory Foam Call, Superdrug Hand Therapy

A couple of these aren’t strictly empties; but they are either products that will be empty within the next couple of days or products that are now dried up and might as well be empty!

Boots 17 Eyeliner pen– I used to LOVE this to create a nice, defined cat eye flick, but since mastering gel liners this has languished in my make up drawer. I went to use it the other day to find that it’s now completely dried up! It cost £3.99, and whilst I don’t think I’d buy it again, it is good for someone who is new to liquid liners. It’s soft and easy to get a precise line with.

LUSH Breath of God– I love this solid perfume, but (and I have no idea how) it’s completely melted and gooey and ruined! I’m mortified because it’s not cheap at £7 for 12g, but I might put it on a future wishlist. I have Karma to use up now!

Boots Essentials cucumber moisturising cream– This is a bargain! It’s £1.50 for 100ml of product, and I’ve been using it as a night cream. It can sometimes make my skin sting a little, but I think that’s more to do with what I’ve used before applying this. My skin has felt so soft and luscious- I’ve got another product I’ve got to try and use up first, but I will definitely buy this again at some point in the future!

ELF Mineral Primer– when I realised this was empty today, I almost cried! It’s so lovely to apply and on my skin, and it cost £6. I think it’s more of a silicone-based product, but it feels velvety soft and my foundation has stayed on all day. I’ve got the MUA pro-primer to use up, and I think I want to try their Undress Your Skin primer, but I will probably repurchase this.

Soap & Glory Peaches and Clean cleansing milk– This may be a Holy Grail product for me! It gets every trace of grime off of my face, and it smells divine. It doesn’t irritate my skin, and even though I’ve never really had problem skin, it’s never been clearer or brighter. It costs £7 for 200ml, so it’s neither cheap nor excessively expensive, and I’ve already bought a replacement!

ELF Lotion Wipes in Shea Butter– I use these on my arms, and they’re really good. I’ve got one more pack (in vanilla and coconut) and I ordered another Shea Butter pack to go in my gym/swim bag. They’ve got just the right amount of lotion on them, they smell lovely, and they make even my dry elbows nice and soft. They cost £3.75 for 20 wipes and I will probably order again once my next two packs are used up.

Dirty Works Face Wipes– these are from the budget Soap & Glory-a-like brand stocked in Sainsbury’s, and they’ve been really good. They’ve removed most of my make up, and have seemed quite kind to my skin. I might repurchase in the future, but I bought a twin-pack of Primark’s sensitive wipes and will use those before I think about which to buy! They cost £1.99 for 25.

Soap & Glory Foam Call– This shower gel has lasted me AGES. It is scented with S&G’s fruity scent, so it might not be to everyone’s taste, but I really like it. I’ve not tried any of their other shower gels, but my parents got me another one for Christmas. I love how little you need to use at any one time, and it doesn’t dry out my skin. I might try one of their others, but I am definitely a S&G shower gel convert! Foam Call costs £6.50 for 500ml and if you’re anything like me, will last for absolutely yonks.

Superdrug Hand Therapy– This was the 2 in 1 hand and nail cream version, and I love it. It doesn’t feel greasy and it’s the perfect size to have in your bag, or by your bed! It costs £1.39 for 75 ml and I have an intensive one to use up, but I think I will buy this again.

So that’s my empties for this month! Have you used any of these products? Let me know what you think of them!
