Back with a vengeance (and lots of photos)!

Hi, fat fashionistas! I’m so sorry for the MAJOR absence in the past week or so, but I’ve been ridiculously busy with Masters work. The language of the texts we’ve been looking at for the past few sessions has been a bit intense, AND I was still getting over that awful, awful fluey/coldy lurgy thing. I’m still not entirely over it but I’m much better than I was. Currently I’m a little perturbed as after nearly six years of having black sheets I’m having to deal with the trauma of having a red duvet cover after my adorable but ridiculously naughty puppy had a wee all over my lovely black one. But that’s for another blog.

SO. Fashion.

Let’s start with the weekend. Only have a couple of things to post from Saturday and Sunday; neither of which are a full Daily look or anything like that, but I figured I’d post them anyway. I was tempted to make these into separate posts but I want to treat you with a wall of blog. Aren’t I nice?

Saturday I wore this beauty:

That there is what we call the ‘geek t-shirt’. Now, it is often the case that such a ‘geek t-shirt’ would be borrowed from the boyfriend/other half, but in this instance this lovely garment is all mine. I bought it at Forbidden Planet in Glasgow- don’t think it’s on Sauchiehall Street but it’s near to there. The slice of pop culture represented by this shirt is, of course, Marvel’s X-Men. It’s one of my favourite t-shirts, and I like to wear it with leggings or a mini skirt and leggings combo, or as part of a slouchy/feeling ill ensemble with tatty tracksuit bottoms. I have been known to go completely mental and wear it with a flowery, floaty skirt in the past.

My picture from Sunday is of my make up!

It looked pretty good, if I do say so myself. I’m wearing (eyebrows down:) a mid-brown shade from the Sleek Au Naturelle palette to fill in my brows; a light sweep of Soap and Glory Lid Stuff palette, in Smokey Dokey, on my upper lid; Primark kohl pencil in black to line, with Benefit Bad Gal waterproof mascara on my lashes; I used Boots’ Natural Collection tinted moisturiser in Fair, with Collection 2000 Sheer translucent powder to set; my cheeks are a mixture of Soap and Glory Love at First Blush and Benefit Bella Bamba, blended together. I used E.L.F.’s Luscious Liquid Lipstick; I’m useless and can’t remember the shade, but it might be Bark or Brownie Points. I also attempted contouring using Natural Collection Suntint Bronzing powder in Sun Shine; what do you think? I think it’s not so bad!
